Block mounting

Block mounting or box mounting  is a modern inexpensive display technique where your artwork is professionally bonded onto a high-density, durable Masonite wood box. Instead of hiding your print behind glass, block mounts pulls the image forward, creating a striking, three-dimensional look that pops off your wall. 

Choose Your Depth: 25mm vs. 35mm Edging

The magic of a block mount lies in its profile. 

We wrap or finish the edges of a sturdy Masonite box to give your art a distinct “block” effect. Choose the depth that best suits your space:

• 25mm Edging (The Classic): Sleek and subtle. The 25mm profile offers a refined, low-profile lift from the wall. It’s perfect for smaller prints, gallery walls with multiple pieces, or spaces where you want a clean, understated modern look.
• 35mm Edging (The Bold Statement): Dramatic and gallery-esque. The 35mm profile creates a deep, chunkier shadow-line against the wall. It’s ideal for large statement pieces, landscape photography, or focal points where you want maximum visual impact.

Not recommended for high end art works as it gets pasted in a vacuum press to the board. It’s also recommended not to laminate the paper as lamination traps air bubbles resulting in an uneven surface when we paste it to the masonite.
